The Winter of Love

THE WINTER OF LOVE is British Filmmaker Shakila Taranum Maan’s first feature film and is an intense, gripping drama set entirely in Southall. The film, which opened at the Raindance East Festival to acclaimed success, explores family tensions, hidden secrets and intergenerational conflict and hypocrisy.

The Winter of Love is Shakila Taranum Maan’s first feature and was originally released under the title ‘A Quiet Desperation’.

The film opened the Raindance Film Festival in 2001 and released on DVD in 2011. The Winter of Love is the copy right of Taranum Films and Falcon Films. Shakila Taranum Maan is a writer, director and producer, often collaborates on film and theatre projects.
